This tool is an excellent cultivator and will cut into the hardest packed soil and gravel. Use it to break up lumps, use it for planting. It makes small furrows easily and can be used for small transplants as well as making seed or bulb holes. An excellent edging device for patios/paths and can be used to scrape clean other tools.
